Wednesday, April 16th, 2008During a lunchtime conversation on problems solved by McGyver, I failed to convince my fellow friends of the existence of an episode where McGyver successfully fixes the bullet-ridden radiator of a truck using just eggs (to cover the holes) and water.
The process:
Fll the radiator with water and add eggs to it.
Turn the truck on.
As the water heats up, the eggs cook and fill the holes…
After a brief search, I found this *extensive* list of all the problems solved by McGyver.
I was of course vindicated: Bushmaster is the episode…He used only the whites though, so I got that detail wrong. Ha!

I thought this was April’s Fools Day news, yet the tone seemed a bit too serious. A group of nine kids ranging from 8 – 10 year olds were planning to attack a teacher in an elementary school in Georgia.
“A group of third-graders plotted to attack their teacher, bringing a broken steak knife, handcuffs, duct tape and other items for the job and assigning children tasks including covering the windows and cleaning up afterward, police said Tuesday.
The plot involving as many as nine boys and girls at Center Elementary School in south Georgia was a serious threat, Waycross Police Chief Tony Tanner said.” the CNN article reads.

LARPing in NJ

The group LAIRE (Live Action Interative Role-playing Explorers) is one of many groups that have been getting together for over a decade (!) at a Girl Scouts camp in NJ for LARPing (Live-Action Role Playing), exploring imaginary worlds, fighting goblins and completing quests.
Makes me wonder if they have the honey why don’t you go hunt for some baby food instead of fighting your friends with imaginary lighting bolts quest.
Hopefully none of my MMORPG playing friends will show up at the studio dressed up as an elf…
