Kodak V1253

kodak v1253

My old and faithful Minolta DimageX died about two weeks ago, her digital soul leaving this material world and starting its journey to camera heaven (or landfills I think they’re called…). You will be missed, although not for long. I already bought a new Kodak V1253. I tried a few cameras at the store, and this one happened to be among the two that I liked the most, the other one being a very sexy Sony T-100. Five things tilted the balance towards the Kodak: a whopping 12 megapixel resolution, HD (almost) video capture, a clear button structure (the Sony is all touch screen, which is nice, but I like not having to look at the camera every time I need to change some basic feature) and the use of SD cards (Sony uses their moronic proprietary memory sticks) and a $300 price tag, instead of $400. So far I’m happy with it, lots of features, easy to use, and versatile. I’ll add more onto this post later on
